Well, the clock is ticking before all support for ends.

According to a blog post by Stephen Rose, senior product manager for Windows Commercial – “Using XP after 2014 is an ‘at your own risk’ situation for any customers choosing not to migrate”.

On April 8, 2014, we will end the extended support for our commercial customers and we will no longer provide security updates for commercial or consumer customers.

There are still about 38% of PCs connected to the internet  still using Windows XP.  As windows has now had 3 (three) new Operating System upgrades since the launch of XP, this support ending situation will be a problem for the over a third of PC users continuing to use XP.
